| The New Jersey Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America presented a check in the amount of $10,000 to the Westlake School in Westfield during the Union County Board of Education meeting on March 6th. The check represented the combined donations of BMW Club members, sponsorship from JMK BMW in Springfield, and proceeds of the Club’s June 2012 Club Race at NJ Motorsports Park’s Thunderbolt Raceway. Westlake students attended the race as guests of the BMW Club. JMK BMW 3 series now available in an all-new wagon trim. |

This is a compact entry-level luxury vehicle offered in sedan, coupe, and convertible (hardtop) trim levels. This is available in all trims as a base 328i that utilizes a standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder twin-turbo charged engine that produces 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
The Sedan, Coupe, and Convertible trims offer an optional 335i trim powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 300 hp. The Convertible trim also offers a 335is trim that yields 320 hp.
The BMW 3 series also offer an additional engine. An optional 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 diesel engine (335d) that produces 265 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque. The transmission options consist of a 6-speed manual, 8-speed automatic, 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters, and a 7-speed double clutch automatic.
All BMW 3 series trims, with the exception of the convertible level, offer AWD. Features include premium sound, navigation, automatic cruise control, and iPhone/iPod integration. Safety is comprised of dynamic stability control, enhanced braking, advanced airbags, and xenon adaptive headlights. The 3 series is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty. Today, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the all-new 2012 BMW 3 Series a “Top Safety Pick”, showcasing BMW’s commitment of providing leading safety features with each new model.
For vehicles to be awarded a “Top Safety Pick”, a car must receive a rating of “good”, the Institute’s highest rating, in all of four tests – 40 mph frontal offset impact, side impact, rear impact protection/head restraint and rollover protection – and must be equipped with an electronic stability control system, for instance the BMW’s Dynamic Stability Control.

2012 NY International Auto Show
It’s that time of the year again and New York is playing host to the International Auto show at the Jacob K Javits Center.
Press day kicked off on Wed April 5th and BMW was certainly one of the most trafficked displays.
BMW debut some new to North America cars and some that have already made the show circuit rounds.
Among those to make their debut was the highly anticipated BMW X1 XDrive2.8i.
Slotting under the popular X3, the X1 has been available outside the US borders and has been hugely successful.
Now US BMW fans no longer need to wait as the X1 will be available this summer.
2 New models to also make their debut are the BMW M6 twins in coupe and convertible form.
Each packing an earth pounding 560HP, they are able to reach 60MPH in a staggering 4 seconds.
The crowned jewel of the show was the BMW 6 series Gran Coupe.
Shown in a stunning Frozen Bronze metallic, the Gran Coupe is based on a longer wheelbase 6 series platform.
The Gran Coupe will make it’s showroom debut in June of 2012.
Always crowd pleasers and still drawing much admiration are the BMWi cars.
The sporty i8 with it’s scissor doors and the i3 with it’s barn style doors serve 2 different ends of the market.
Both satisfy the need to be eco-friendly mobility providers.

Almost 2 months after Tom Moloughney took delivery of the very first BMW ActiveE from JMK BMW,
We, have begun delivering the all electric BMW based on the 1 series to the general public.
Last night, Mr Chris Neff of Mendham NJ picked up his ActiveE to commence the deliveries of ActiveE to VIP and Freinds and Family on the East Coast. Mr Neff is no stranger to Electric Vehicles having owned a MiniE electric car for a year.
Excited to get back into an EV, Mr Neff can't wait to start logging many miles without the added cost of fuel. Seeing as gas prices are on the rise in the NY Metro area, he's excited about the timing of his ActiveE.

For the third consecutive year JMK BMW NJ BMW Dealer has sponsored the Deutscher Club's "Bier Garten" event in Clark, NJ.
The Deutscher Club event is a celebration of German heritage the festivities were great, lots of great food, German beer and Bavarian's finest machines. Club President Sigrid Pagano In its third year now, has renewed the club's commitment to its members and the local residents by having this event on the club's immaculate grounds.
To add to the excitement of the day's events, the BMW Car Club of America; NJ chapter, held a well attended shine and show. Some of NJ's finest Bavarian cars were on display for all to admire. NJ chapter president and JMK customer Larry Engel and his team judged an amazing display of old and new cars spanning 40 years.
Clearly the treat of the afternoon were all the new BMWs on display from JMK BMW a BMW NJ Dealer. While the All New 2012 BMW 650 convertible was the darling of the display; attracting young and old, the BMW X5 SAV and BMW X3 seemed to steal the show. On hand to demonstrate the technology and benefits of the new cars were seasoned client advisors of JMK BMW of Springfield NJ Manny Antunes, Marc Carvalho and Lucas Sienkiewicz.
With a wide variety of cars on display ranging from an E30 M3 race car owned by Al and Gary Bossert to a 2011 BMW M3 coupe.
